By car
From Athens, follow the A8 motorway (Olympia Odos) towards Corinth. At Corinth, join the A7 motorway (Moreas) towards Tripoli and Kalamata. Continue past Tripoli to the Lefktro interchange, then take the A71 motorway towards Sparta (Sparti).
From Sparta, follow the signs for Monemvasia via Molaoi. On arrival in the new town of Monemvasia (Gefyra), follow the road towards the Castle and cross the bridge to the Rock. Follow the signs for Lazareto Hotel Monemvasia before reaching the Castle gate.

From Kalamata Airport by car
Follow the signs to the A7 motorway towards Tripoli and Corinth. At Lefktro, join the A71 towards Sparta, then follow the signs for Monemvasia via Molaoi.
Scenic alternative
For a more leisurely journey, travel via Argos, Astros and Leonidio, then continue through Kosmas and Geraki towards Skala, Vlachiotis, Molaoi and Monemvasia. This route includes winding mountain roads and requires considerably more time than the motorway route. Check road and weather conditions before departure.
